| Steel bands may come from the Caribbean, but you can hear the sounds of the West Indies coming from the Music Room every week at Oakwood Park Grammar School. Formed four years ago, The Coconut Grove Steel Band have performed all around the Maidstone area at Primary schools, charity and private functions, school fetes and Caribbean dinner dances. |

| Long gone the muddy edges and eyesore of the quad. After receiving funding to redevelop the quad, the school has a lovely useable space. |

| Oakwood Park’s I.T. facilities have expanded significantly over the last few years. Schools like OPGS need to run sophisticated computer networks these days, (the ‘National Curriculum’ requirements for all subjects require I.T. to be included,) and this is one of our strengths. |
